Small Sided (Mini) Referee Course
PLEASE READ TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS SECTION
This clinic is for those aspiring referees who are 12 and 13 years of age by March 31st, of the current year.
Those who have previously taken the small sided referee course will not be required to take it again. To register for this season, simply register online through your Ref Centre account, take the re-certification exam. Once you have re-certified, you must apply for and take an information session (mandatory) - see here for information on information sessions and how to apply - https://gdsc.e2esoccer.com/DisplayPage.aspx?PageID=5144.
Restrictions:
Course participants must be affiliated with the Gloucester Dragons.

Clinic cost includes full kit consisting of a referee jersey (black and yellow), shorts, socks, flags, cards & wallet, whistle and lanyard.
GDRS Referee Information Session
This course is aimed at all referees who plan to referee for Gloucester (Dragons) Recreational Soccer. Among the topics covered are: who to contact; pay rates; how to submit time sheets; cheque distribution; Dragons Policies; using Ref Centre effectively; and changes to the Laws of the Game. There is no cost for this course and all course participants are required to attend one of the sessions.

The Ontario Soccer portion of all Referee Clinics are now managed online. Therefore, all applicants must complete the on-line registration PLUS the Dragons registration form - submitting form and payment to the Dragons.
Step 1 – Verify that there is Space Available and Register On-line - you will have to check this often to see when our courses are listed. Click here for the OS on-line registration system.
Step 2 – AFTER you have registered on-line and received confirmation of your on-line registration from Refcentre, you may then register with the Dragons for the Mini Soccer Referee course and the Dragons Specific course. Click here to download Dragon's Course Registration form
Step 3 – Send completed registration form and payment to the Dragons Office
CASH OR CHEQUE ONLY - NO DEBIT OR CREDIT, you may send the form by email and send an e-transfer if you wish, please remember to inform us of the password for the e-transfer. Your on-line registration will only be approved once payment is received.
Step 4 – Attend your chosen Ontario Soccer Mini Soccer Referee course

Entry Level Referee Course
PLEASE RED TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS SECTION
This clinic is for those who would like to become a certified referee and are 14 years of age or older on March 31 of the current year. By taking the clinic, a referee is automatically registered for the current outdoor season with Ontario Soccer and does not have to register again until the following year.
Referees who have previously completed an Entry Level Referee course do not have to take this course again. HOWEVER, in order to referee in a subsequent year, you must register with Ontario Soccer on-line AND attend a Dragons Information Session. For more information for returning referees, click here
Participants affiliated with or members of the OGSC will be given priority for seats in the course. If the course fills, then a priority list will be established in case someone drops out a later date.

These sessions are aimed at referees who plan to referee for Gloucester Dragons Recreational Soccer. Information Sessions (Returning Referees)
These Orientation & Welcome Back clinics are aimed at referees who plan to referee for Gloucester Dragons Recreational Soccer. They are supplemental to the Ontario Soccer Mini Soccer Referee Clinics and the Entry Level Referee Clinics.
ALL new and returning referees must attend one of these sessions.
Among the topics covered are:
- GDRS referee contacts;
- GDRS Policies;
- Ontario Soccer Policies;
- ERSL competitive soccer policies;
- GDRS referee pay rates;
- how to submit GDRS referee game sheets;
- GDRS referee cheque distribution;
- using Ref Centre effectively; and
- changes to the FIFA Laws of the Game.
We are running the same clinic on three different dates.
